Our mission. The Division of Student Affairs collaborates in empowering our students to explore possibilities, engage with their communities, and experience personal growth and development, by co-creating a holistic and transformative living learning environment. Through these experiences, they are prepared to lead with purpose and thrive in a diverse and complex global society.

Our vision. Our vision is to reimagine Student Affairs at Oberlin College and Conservatory as a model of inclusive excellence among selective liberal arts institutions, recognized for educationally-purposeful, innovative, and high impact programs and services, that foster a holistic and transformative student experience which empowers students to thrive personally, academically, and socially.

The dean of students office also oversees and supports the following student-focused offices and services: Campus Safety, Career Exploration and Development, Center for Intercultural Engagement, Center for Student Success, Multifaith Chaplaincy and Sustained Dialogue, Residence Life, Student Health and Wellbeing, and Student Leadership and Involvement.
