The Student Advisory Board advises the Dean of Students on the student experience at Oberlin College and Conservatory. The board is intended to offer another opportunity for the Dean of Students to be informed and advised on matters of importance to students.
By serving on the Student Advisory Board, members develop essential skills such as communication, leadership, professionalism, networking, and teamwork. Board members connect with other students to exchange ideas on how to make a positive impact on campus and within the extended Oberlin community.
This is not a governing board, and does not function in the capacity of the representatives to the Student Senate, who are elected by their peers to represent and advocate on behalf of the student body.
