Students in Barton's course create a digital anthology that will live online indefinitely.

Six faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music received Excellence in Teaching Awards for the 2018-2019 academic year.

As students study for final exams away from campus this week, we're flashing back to Oberlin's fall reading period in December 2019. Join us as we stop by the Seeley G. Mudd Center, conservatory library, and other places on campus where Obies were hard at work preparing for finals.

On Thursday, April 23, 2020, the Oberlin College community rallied to celebrate what is truly good and beautiful about Oberlin.

Inks, oil pastels, watercolors, and woodblock are just some of the materials current students in Oberlin’s Art department used to create interpretive self portraits and other pieces in this art walk.

“The best thing about my quarantine workday (besides hanging out with my toddler) is seeing my students, even though they are far away. The second best thing is seeing them when it's warm enough to be outside in my backyard in Lakewood. Students + sunshine (+ toddler) = happiness,” writes Kathryn Metz , assistant professor of ethnomusicology.

Although current conditions have fraught travel plans for many, there are still ways to indulge in much-needed vacation time. This week, we fly to the moon and return home in time for dinner.
