Biography

Pronounce my name

Josh Whitson serves as Assistant Dean and Director of International Student and Scholar Services. In this role, he leads efforts in assisting international students and scholars with visa document preparation and reporting in addition to providing support related to academic, cultural, social, and personal matters impacting academic success.

Josh received a bachelor of arts in religion with minors in Asian studies, diversity studies, and sociology from Baldwin Wallace University and a master of theological studies concentrating in East Asian religions from Harvard University.

Assistant Dean and Director of International Student & Scholar Services Josh Whitson and International Student Program Coordinator Jackie Zubin attended the NAFSA: Association of International Educators 2024 Annual Conference & Expo. Josh cotrained the Trainer Corps Enrichment Workshop focused on adult learning and training plans as a member of the Trainer Corps Development Team, and also copresented the session Department of State Consular Affairs Current Issues. Jackie presented the poster Introducing International Education Week to a University Campus.

Josh Whitson Earns Fulbright International Education Administrators Award

Assistant Dean and Director of International Student and Scholar Services Josh Whitson was granted a Fulbright International Education Administrators Award to travel to Taiwan and participate in a two-week group seminar with representatives from universities, private sector agencies and organizations, and selected government agencies in March.
