Beyond the Binary
Description: The Beyond the Binary training is an introductory training to supporting populations from diverse sexual orientation and gender identity backgrounds. Some of the outcomes include defining terminology related to sexual and gender diversity, reviewing demographic trends and needs within the LGBTQIA+ community, learning how to interrupt sexual and gender biases, and understanding best practices and strategies for creating inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ populations.
Implicit Bias: Our Role and Responsibility
Description: This training examines the effects of implicit bias from both interpersonal and structural perspectives. Most importantly, participants will learn to identify and interrupt implicit bias within themselves and take accountability for how their implicit biases impact larger decision-making processes (i.e. policymaking and hiring).
