On leaving New England to go to college.

Study abroad has made me think a lot about the word "home."

For a long time, the college experience was all about "big" to me.

For me, the physical and psychological need to run completely eclipses any superficial insecurities. Perhaps it gives me an opportunity, for once in my life, to not overthink things.

What have we been up to in the classroom this semester? We hope we know.

Whenever I tell someone outside of Oberlin that I'm a Comparative American Studies major, they have no idea what it is. I like to describe it as the study of how one's experience in the United States differs based on the many facets of their identity.

Well, here we are. It's already year two of my Oberlin adventure! In all honesty, sophomore year has been a little weird so far.

The journey to finding equilibrium.

Most semesters I've told y'all about my course schedule so you can go back and see all the different classes I've been in. This one is special because it's the very last one of my undergraduate career. So let's dig in!

In the very beginning of the semester, I barely raised my elbow off the table when I had something to say, and when I realized my professors weren't calling on me probably because they couldn't see my hand, I adopted a new philosophy for class participation.
