Biography

Kimberly S. Springer is a dedicated higher education leader with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; student engagement; and program development. She prioritizes support of historically marginalized students and cultivating inclusive environments for all students, faculty, and staff. In previous roles, she developed best practices for implementing cultural- and identity-based services, community engagement, and partnership building.

Originally from Cleveland, Springer earned a master’s degree in adult learning and development from Cleveland State University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Tuskegee University. An engaged community leader, she is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, American College Personnel Association, National Council of Negro Women, and the Junior League of Cleveland. 

Springer’s interests include mentorship within communities of color, higher education experiences of second-generation Americans of the African diaspora, and student activism. She is passionate about social justice issues and building coalitions across communities. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and exploring great restaurants.
