Resources for PRSM Trainers
We’re happy to share our training resources with other colleges that want to present peer-to-peer prevention workshops. These materials have been written collaboratively by Oberlin College students and staff from the Oberlin College Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Please contact us for permission before you use the materials.
PRSM Essentials workshop
This workshop covers the basics of consent, the way drugs and alcohol impact consent, Title IX, and on-campus resources.
Supplies you'll need:
- Large self-stick easel pad sheets (1 sheet for every 5 workshop participants)
- Markers (1 for every 5 workshop participants)
- 4 sets of traffic light cutouts (each set contains a red, a green, and a yellow 3" circle that has been cut out of card stock or construction paper. Label the front and back of the circles with the color name for people who have trouble distinguishing colors.)
- Essentials workbooks (1 for each participant)
- Essentials script
- Essentials slide presentation
PRSM Bystander Intervention workshop
This workshop discusses our responsibility as a community to create a safe campus, and how to intervene safely if we see problematic behavior.
Supplies you'll need:
- Masking tape (for the pyramid activity)
- Dry erase markers (if there's a dry erase board in the room) OR markers and a 1-2 large self-stick easel pad sheets
