Early Arrivals

Any student not already in residence who arrives prior to the official return dates is considered an early arrival.

Early arrival is designated primarily for those returning students approved by a department and/or organization whose activities directly contribute toward new student orientation.

Please Note: Early arrival is not intended for students who would like to settle into their room early.

Department Early Arrival

Students returning prior to the official return dates have to be authorized by the individual department supervisors or coaches. All communications will occur between the department and the student.

Oberlin departments/offices needing student(s) to return to campus housing early should submit their request via this form. The fee for departmental early arrival per student is $42/per night. The deadline for departmental requests is July 31, 2024.

Personal Early Arrival

Personal early arrival is intended for continuing and incoming students who need to return or come to Oberlin prior to the official return dates, in order to attend to personal college-related business and or tasks (e.g., medical appointment as part of a return from a Medical Leave of Absence), and or other exceptional circumstances.

If you are granted permission to arrive early, the daily rate will be $84/per night. The deadline for this form is August 18th, 2024.
