Required Public Reporting on Federal CRRSAA and HEERF II and ARP/HEERF III

CRRSAA/HEERF II and ARP/HEERF III Direct Student Aid Grant

  1. Oberlin College has returned a signed Certifications and Agreements to the U.S. Department of Education.

  2. Oberlin College has been awarded $728,674 from CRRSSA and $1,912,098 from ARP from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

    • As of March 31, 2021, Oberlin College distributed CRRSSA funds to 141 students. As of March 31, 2021 Oberlin had not received authorization of ARP funding.
    • As of June 30, 2021, Oberlin College distributed CRRSSA funds to 342 students. As of  June 30, 2021 no ARP funds were distributed. 
    • As of September 30, 2021, Oberlin College distributed CRRSSA funds to 421 students.* As of September 30, 2021, Oberlin College distributed ARP funds to 1,112 students.
    • As of December 31, 2021 Oberlin College distributed ARP funds to 1,654 students.
    • As of March 31, 2022 Oberlin College distributed ARP funds to 1,610 students.**

  4. The estimated total number of students at the institution that are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs at Oberlin College is 1,911.

    • As of March 31, 2021, Oberlin has granted $192,872.03 to students under the CRRSAA program. As of March 31, 2021 Oberlin had not received authorization of ARP funding.
    • As of June 30, 2021, Oberlin has granted $548,770.45 to students under the CRRSAA program. As of June 30, 2021 Oberlin had not distributed ARP funds.
    • As of September 30, 2021, Oberlin has granted $728,674 in HEERF II/CRRSAA funding. As of September 30, 2021 HEERF II/CRRSAA has been fully expended. 
    • As of September 30, 2021, Oberlin has granted $1,298,386.97 in ARP funding.
    • As of December 31, 2021, Oberlin has granted $1,912,098 in ARP funding.
    • As of March 31, 2022, Oberlin has granted $1,912,098 in ARP funding. ARP has been fully expended.

  6. For the CRRSSA funds, students may apply to be considered for grant funding. Oberlin College has created an internal application for students to complete which will be reviewed by a committee of College administrators to ensure that the request meets the terms and conditions of the program. In line with the Department's guidance, all students at Oberlin may be considered for this funding. As of September 30, 2021 HEERF II/CRRSAA has been fully expended. 

    • As of June 30, 2021 Oberlin has not awarded ARP funding.
    • Beginning in August 2021 Oberlin College began distributing ARP funding in block grants to students in three stages:

      ·       August 20, 2021: Block grants to eligible students enrolled at Oberlin for summer semester 2021;

      ·       September 3, 2021: Block grants to eligible students who were enrolled at Oberlin in 2020-21 and are registered at Oberlin for fall semester 2021; and

      ·       October 22, 2021: Block grants to eligible first-year and transfer students who matriculate at Oberlin in fall 2021.

In line with the Department's guidance, all students at Oberlin may be considered for this funding.
