Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Weltzheimer/Johnson House is the first Usonian house in Ohio, and one of the few in the nation open to the public.

The house is normally open to visitors on the first Sunday of the month from April to November, however a construction project is scheduled to begin in early June 2025. Therefore, the house will be open April 6 and May 4 then will close for an undetermined amount of time. To receive notification of the reopening, sign up for our newsletter.

Advance registration is required for all visitors. Admission is $10 per adult; free for children under 18 with the purchase of an adult ticket; and free for Oberlin College students, faculty, and staff (with ID). Presentations on the architecture and history of the house begin on the hour at noon, 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m.

The house is located at 534 Morgan Street, Oberlin, Ohio. Visitors should park on the south side of Morgan and walk along the gravel driveway to the house. For tickets, a map, and other details, see amam.oberlin.edu/flw.

If you are interested in touring the home outside of scheduled open houses, groups of 10 or more may make arrangements by contacting the Education Department at education.amam@oberlin.edu.
