Violin 2025: Schedule

Competition Performance Schedule

All rounds are free and open to the public.

Rounds 1 and 2 will be performed for an in-person audience in Warner Concert Hall. The Finals Round will performed for an in-person audience in Finney Chapel.

All rounds will be streamed live at oberlin.edu and via the competition's media partner, The Violin Channel.

Violinists perform 30-minute programs in Warner Concert Hall.

Violinists perform 30-minute programs in Warner Concert Hall. 

2:30-5 p.m. - Session 1

7:30-9:30 p.m. - Session 2

Announcement of the six advancing violinists follows the evening session.

 

Wednesday, January 8 | Round 2
Six violinists perform 45-minute recital programs in Warner Concert Hall. 

3:30-6:00 p.m. - Session 1
8:00-10:30 p.m. - Session 2

Announcement of the three finalists follows the evening session.


Thursday, January 9
7:30 p.m.   Honors Recital

This evening concert in Warner Concert Hall features outstanding performances selected from the first three days of competition.  Streamed live on oberlin.edu.


Friday, January 10
7:30 p.m. Concerto Finals

Three violinists perform complete concertos with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and Norman Huynh, Conductor.
