Virtual Lab Computers at Oberlin offer a variety of specialized software for teaching and learning.
When you log in to the Virtual Lab Computer environment, you’ll be able to choose from a number of different “virtual computer desktops.” These virtual desktops offer different groupings of software, organized around various academic areas. Some virtual desktops are available to everyone, and others will only be visible to you if you’re enrolled in a class that offers access to that software.
Review the chart below to determine which software is available on which virtual desktops.
Note: all of the STEM virtual desktops (Science, Biology, Geology, and SSDL) include the “Standard Mac” or “Standard Windows” software in addition to the specialized software listed.
