Getting to and from Cleveland
The City of Cleveland and surrounding metro area offer world-class museums, music, theater, parks, shopping, and dining.
ObieExpress Free Shuttle
To make it easier for students to connect with opportunities and adventures in Cleveland, Oberlin now offers the ObieExpress Cleveland shuttle.
The ObieExpress takes groups of students throughout the greater Cleveland area for social and shopping experiences weekly on Thursdays through Sundays. More information on routes and times will be released toward the start of the fall 2023 semester.
Other Transportation Options
EV Car Share - The City of Oberlin and Oberlin College have four all-electric CarShare vehicles (Chevrolet Bolts) available to any city resident or College student with a valid driver's license, pending certain requirements. The cost is $8 an hour (plus tax) and covers 25 miles. The program is provided through Sway Mobility, a company that provides electric vehicles as CarShares so people without readily available personal transportation can still get around.
Gohio Commute - Gohio Commute, a program of the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), is the premier ride planning, matching, and logging tool available for free to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties. This interactive platform gives you the information you need to plan a trip and connect with nearby commuters to share your ride.
