What subjects I'm putting into my head this semester.

I realized and then accepted that unmitigated busyness was not equivalent to productivity, but a threat to it. I learned that sometimes even doing something you love is a luxury that you should be prepared to sacrifice when faced with the exigencies of the bigger picture.

Look at stuff that people have done and reimagine it in your own way.

For my first blog post, I wanted to share one of my special secret spaces: my Pocahontas Tree (also known as Beacon Arbor)!

a.k.a. post-college life with a liberal arts major

That is the packing question.

It's so easy to fix up a little routine and then stick to it, and so easy to forget that there's always so much more to explore.

I am center stage with my declaration trumpet, playing passionate rifts of commitment to my interests, scores of love for the fields, and songs of confidence stemming from my assurance of choosing the right path.

It's like a spidey sense, but way way better. Because there are less legs and/or radioactive superhero features (though, no lies, that last one would be awesome).

The admissions process can feel like it is never-ending, but I love the adventure of it: next year, who knows where you'll be and who your best friends will be, and which clubs you'll have joined or founded?

Having some ideas about the mentorship opportunities while at Oberlin. They're complicated and awesome (like most things that involve people).
