In collaboration with Oberlin Undergraduate Research and the Lemle Center for Teaching and Scholarship, the Engaged Learning Lab offers workshops to bring faculty together to explore high impact practices in the classroom and in research.

Collaborative Research in Humanities and Social Sciences

A roundtable discussion exploring innovative approaches to collaborative research. An Engaged Learning Lab event hosted by the Bonner Center, the Gertrude B. Lemle Center for Teaching and Scholarship, and Oberlin Undergraduate Research, this discussion will highlight successful case studies, explore the impact of collective research on teaching and scholarship, and identify strategies for sustainable collaboration.

Engaged Learning: Designing Research-Intensive (URI) and Community-Based Learning (CBL) Course

An interactive panel discussion on crafting courses that center research and community engagement. The panel will explore high impact practices, challenges faculty have encountered in course design, implementation, and assessment, among other topics. Attendees will learn how to design courses to meet the CBL (community-based learning) and URI (Undergraduate Research Intensive) designation criteria.
