Neuroscience Honors Program
Neuroscience students with a minimum GPA of 3.1 in the major are invited to apply to the Honors Program in neuroscience.
Students with a desire to pursue an intensive, independent research project should consider applying for the Honors program in neuroscience. Students interested in such an experience should discuss the Honors program with their academic advisor and should identify a faculty mentor in their junior year. Students should enroll in the full course of the NSCI 607 Research course each semester of their senior year.
During the fall semester of their senior year, students work in collaboration with their faculty mentor to design an appropriate research project. Formal acceptance into the Honors program requires students to their research proposal to be accepted by their thesis committee. The Honors program culminates with a written thesis summarizing the students’ research findings and an oral thesis defense.
