Double Degree Procedures
Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music provide an unmatched opportunity for students who want to combine rigorous preprofessional music training with a thorough liberal arts education.
Oberlin’s Double Degree Program allows students to complete two undergraduate degrees (BM and BA) in five years or fewer. The double degree is a conduit to a huge array of possibilities for life beyond Oberlin.
For students who prefer the most expansive bachelor’s education, acquiring two degrees has proven to be rewarding for Oberlin graduates for more than 90 years.
The Handbook for Double Degree Students and Advisors contains a plethora of information about the Double Degree Program. Common questions and concerns, degree requirements, and representative first-year schedules are topics covered in the handbook.
Current students in the College of Arts and Sciences or Conservatory of Music are to apply according to the Change of Divisional Status procedure for their current status.
All other candidates who want to pursue the Double Degree Program must apply separately to each division.
