Biography

Tabassum earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a master’s in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has been with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning since 2019. Prior to her current role as assistant director, she has served as assistant dean in the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Tabassum works with data reporting applications to build, test, and standardize reports, data visualizations, and dashboards; provides analytical support for campus-wide academic and administrative planning, decision-making, and research functions; and assists with assessment, evaluation, and external compliance reporting. When she is not poring through spreadsheets and doodling with data visualizations, she likes to travel, crochet, and grow hot peppers in her backyard.
