The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at Oberlin College

The NSLS is the largest and only accredited leadership honor society in the United States. Our local chapter is part of this national organization with more than 700 chapters and over 1.5 million existing members. The NSLS offers a five part leadership program that invited students may take part in to build their leadership skills and work toward their goals with their peers.

Orientation

September 23rd, 7:00-8:00 pm- Moffett Auditorium

September 26nd, 5:00-600 pm- Moffett Auditorium

Orientation is the first event on campus for new members. During orientation you’ll get a chance to meet other members, learn the steps you need to take to complete the program, and review the schedule of events for the semester.

What do I have to do to become inducted?

The Steps to Induction take approximately 9-10 hours over the course of the semester and you can complete it at your own pace.

Can I receive financial support for membership fees?

If you have received an invitation to the NSLS and need financial assistance to join, you can reach out to Director of Student Leadership, Jess Sonney at jsonney@oberlin.edu

Is this recognized on campus?

The NSLS is a recognized partner of Oberlin College and Conversatory and we are working together to provide students with leadership development opportunities. Student members in our chapter will join more than 1.5 million members nationwide.
