Student Health and Wellbeing (SHAW)

Vision: 
To support student experiences mindful of their health and wellbeing, within an environment that promotes holistic student success.

Mission:
To create a thriving environment where students feel safe, healthy, and able to support their wellness through a culture of personal and communal advocacy.

Additional Support for the Oberlin Students

Students who would benefit from additional support are encouraged to reach out to Counseling and Psychological Services at Dascomb Hall, which is open for walk-in hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. each weekday.

Additional drop-in support will be available in Wilder Hall Room 109 at the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, April 9:  11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 10:    11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 

  • Friday, April 11:          11:00 a.m.  -3 :00p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Additional counseling can be found anytime (24/7) by calling UWill at 833-998-9455.

Student Health and Wellbeing is your primary source for health, wellness, and alcohol- and drug-related health education, prevention, and harm-reduction services.

Student Health and Wellbeing works within the framework of the Eight Dimensions of Wellness to offer comprehensive assistance for students and direction for the campus community.

Oberlin Launches Uwill: A Teletherapy Mental Health for Students

Oberlin has partnered with Uwill, a private, secure, and confidential teletherapy service that offers convenient access to free teletherapy support resources for all Oberlin students, regardless of your location.

With Uwill, you can choose a therapist based on preferences including availability, topic, gender, language, and ethnicity. Services are available seven days a week throughout the year. This additional counseling option offers students greater flexibility and allows Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to expand its service capacity.
