Multifaith Chaplaincy & Sustained Dialogue
Care of Community
Multipartiality
The Multifaith Chaplaincy (MC) offers neutrality in spaces where needed and a multipartial commitment where support and advocacy is welcome. We don’t choose sides, we choose you and believe your story, from beginning to end.
Individual and Group Support
Individual and group care are offered around a host of themes:
- Grief and loss; restoration, and reconciliation;
- Discernment in transitions, first year belonging, mid-year and final year reflections;
- Loneliness, isolation, self-confidence, and finding meaning.
Confidential Pastoral Care (One-on-One)
Multifaith Chaplain David Dorsey is available for the confidential care and counsel of students, staff and faculty or to help facilitate introductions to area religious leaders, spiritual coaches of your choosing. Please email The Rev. Dr. Dorsey with your interest.
"Standing By"
MC seeks to support students who wish for a show of support from their peers for whatever they value, believe, or envision. This might include remembrances around grief or loss, no matter how large or small–maybe something happening back home. Multipartial commitments upheld, attendees are not declaring sides or opinions but rather choosing simply to “stand by” the requesting party–be it lighting a candle, a small circle gathered, reading/music shared or a 1:1 honest acknowledgement. To inquire about a non-judgemental, multipartial space for what’s on your mind, in your heart email David Dorsey.
