Aahil Singh ’26 Turns Inspiration to Action

After being fascinated with the research of Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science Joshua H. Davidson ’12, Aahil Singh ’26 decided to pursue a similar project. As a double major in mathematics and economics with a statistical modeling minor and data science concentration, Aahil appreciates how concepts can cross disciplines. Through Summer Experience Funding, over the summer, he worked on a research paper with Professor Davidson on the subject of transportation.

Get Down to Business with Cole Tashjian ’25

Cole Tashjian ’25 knew what he wanted when he came to Oberlin College, and got down to business to achieve it. As an economics major with minors in computer science and mathematics, he set himself up well to go into finance. This summer, he interned at Invesco, and used it as a stepping stone to set up his future career. Here, Cole talks about his role and successes.

Kayla Elias ’25 Conducts Research at the Elahi Lab

Kayla Elias ’25 knows exactly what she wants to do after college, and is setting herself up perfectly via her Internship+ program placement at the Elahi Lab at the Friedman Brain Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. At Oberlin, Kayla is on the pre-medical track, majoring in neuroscience and biochemistry . As an aspiring physician-scientist, she is following Dr. Fanny Elahi, who does just that and is learning how Dr. Elahi balances research and clinic work.
