The Oberlin community had the opportunity to see Angels in America, the two-part, award-winning play that centers on New York City during the 1980s AIDS crisis. Producing this play has long been an ambition of Professor of Theater Matthew Wright.

Afia Ofori-Mensa deactivated her personal Facebook account, hoping to recover time she spent on the site to writing a book manuscript. Instead, Ofori-Mensa found herself playing a young Nina Simone in a production of 'Simply Simone: The Music of Nina Simone' at Karamu House in Cleveland.
