Students Shed Their Locks for the Environment

Environmental studies major and sophomore Beth Minahan cuts the hair of first-year Nicole Estrada on Monday, April 27, during Hair Recycling, an Ecolympics event sponsored by the Resource Conservation Team and the Office of Environmental Sustainability. Hair collected during Hair Recycling is being donated to the Hair for Oil Spills program, which will use the hair to make hair booms to be used in oil cleanups.
