Oberlin Changes EAP Providers
December 18, 2013
Communications Staff
Beginning January 1, 2014, employees of Oberlin College will be able to take advantage of the Cleveland Clinic’s Lifestyle Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Lifestyle EAP provides confidential counseling and a range of services to help guide employees and their families toward better health, wellness, and life balance and provide support when experiencing life changing events.
Because it is an employer-prepaid program, there is no cost to employees, unless a referral is made for services outside the program.
The Lifestyle EAP will replace Oberlin’s current employee assistance program, administered by CIGNA. Employees who are using CIGNA EAP programs and services and who have questions about transferring to the new EAP can contact Kim Wiggerly, Oberlin’s benefits and compensation manager, at x58430 or by e-mail at kwiggerl@oberlin.edu.
Orientation sessions scheduled to take place in mid January and early February will provide employees with details of Lifestyle EAP’s services, and more sessions will be offered throughout the year. Lifestyle EAP services include:
• Face-to-face, short-term counseling
• Eldercare and childcare resources and referrals
• 24/7/365 phone support from licensed mental health professionals
• Identity theft recovery and prevention
• Legal and financial consultations
• On-site wellness seminars
Employees will receive literature on Lifestyle EAP via campus mail, Blackboard, and e-mail. For more information in the meantime, call Lifestyle EAP at 800-989-3277. On and after January 1, 2014, employees may also visit www.lifestyleEAP.com
