Oberlin Named Finalist in Second Nature Climate Leadership Awards

Oberlin College was named a finalist in the fourth annual Second Nature 2013 Climate Leadership Awards, an annual competition among colleges and universities that are signatories of the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).

The Artist Recital Series concert with renowned pianist Garrick Ohlsson, scheduled for Tuesday, February 12 in Finney Chapel, has been canceled due to illness. There will not be an opportunity to reschedule the performance this season. If you would like to donate your tickets to the Artist Recital Series at Oberlin College, you do not need to take any action at this time, and we thank you for your kind support. Oberlin Music Label Releases New Disc by the Contemporary Music Ensemble with Faculty Clarinetist Richard Hawkins

The Cleveland Orchestra to Perform at Oberlin College on February 8

The Cleveland Orchestra returns to Oberlin College for its 211th Artist Recital Series performance on Friday, February 8, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel. Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the orchestra in a diverse and colorful program of works by Rachmaninoff, Rota, and Prokoviev. The Oberlin Orchestra, performing with guest soloist Jeremy Denk ’90 and led by Associate Professor of Conducting Raphael Jiménez, will give a preview of their 2013 NYC Tour Carnegie Hall program on January 16 in Finney Chapel. The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.
