Up-to-Date Directory Information Available Online

The 2013-14 edition of the Oberlin College Directory is now available on Blackboard in two formats. Once you’ve logged in to Blackboard, you can find individual students, faculty, and staff in the People Search database, and you can download the remaining portions of the directory as PDFs.

The People Search database includes all information that individual faculty and staff members and students have approved for distribution to the on-campus community. And, since it is updated twice a day, every day, with data pulled directly from Oberlin’s BANNER system, you’ll retrieve the most current information, such as a new title when a promotion comes through or a new department when a transfer is made. A less comprehensive online directory is available to those who are not logged in to Blackboard, are working off-campus without a VPN connection to the Oberlin network, or do not have an ObieID.

To access to the complete People Search database and the 2013-14 directory pdfs you must be connected to the Oberlin network (via an on-campus computer or a VPN connection from off-campus) and be logged in to Blackboard.

To access the complete database:

• log in to Blackboard
• go to the “People Search” module in the left-hand column

• Using the College Telephone
• Department/Office/Program Listing
• Building/Facilities/Residence Hall Listing
• Alphabetical Listing of Faculty and Staff 2013-14
• Organizational Chart
• The 2013-14 Alphabetical Listing of Students will be available after fall break.
  Note: The information in the PDFs is up to date as of September 19, 2013. It will not be updated during the academic year.

To access the downloadable PDFs:

• log in to Blackboard
• click the “Resources” tab in the green bar at the top of the page
• click the “Reference Info” button
