Emeritus Professor W. Dean Wolfe Dies at 85

W. Dean Wolfe, emeritus professor and lay leader in the Episcopal Church, died from conditions related to a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on August 10, 2015. He was 85. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, Episcopal, 162 South Main Street, Oberlin, Ohio, on October 10 at 2 p.m. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests memorial gifts in his name to support Parkinson’s research to the Sun Health Foundation.
Jesse Rowsell Memorial Symposium April 4

A symposium will be held in memory of Jesse Rowsell, assistant professor of chemistry, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. An avid hiker and lover of the outdoors, 37-year-old Rowsell died on a hiking trip near his hometown in northern Ontario on January 30, 2015.

Cindy Nickoloff, Oberlin’s director of internal communications, died July 6, 2014, at her home in Elyria after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She worked for Oberlin's Office of Communications for nearly 25 years.
