Biography
Mary-Elizabeth Fenn earned a BFA in dance at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MFA in contemporary dance at Case Western Reserve University. From 2011-2018, she was a lead dancer and resident choreographer for Neos Dance Theatre (performing works by Alice Flock, Penny Saunders, Alejandro Cerrudo, Stephanie Martinez, Joseph Morrissey, Robert Wesner and Heinz Poll). As a freelance artist/choreographer, she has performed with Kanye West, Heraldo Negro, and Spinal Tap. In New York City, she performed with Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama, Amalgamate Dance Company, Yoo & Dancers, Caitlin Dutton, and London artist EddiePeake in Performa 13. She also created a performance group, Fenn & Company, which premiered works at Triskelion Arts Split Bill Series, Comedy in Dance Festival, Triskelion Presents, and Dixon Place NYC10. She has taught Modern Technique, Viewing Dance, and choreographed for Fall Showcase at the University of Akron. Fenn was also a part–time lecturer at Case Western Reserve University teaching ballet and modern technique.
When not teaching, she is outside somewhere with her three year old son or hanging out at home with her husband and two dogs. If you want a great cup of coffee, stop by her family owned coffee bus, Odd Dog Coffee, right outside of Cleveland’s MoCa.
