Biography

Kipp Colvin serves as the Assistant Dean of Student Success. Before joining Oberlin, Kipp Colvin was the Human Rights Campaign's Director of Communities and Volunteer Relations (HRC). During his tenure at HRC, he created an inclusive volunteer experience for over 6,000 volunteer leaders, which helped establish HRC as the most prominent LGBTQ+ organization in the country.

Kipp's early career focused on student affairs, leadership development, diversity, equity, and inclusion engagement and spanned over 15 years in higher education. Kipp earned a BA in history at Glenville State University in West Virginia and an MA in communication from West Virginia University.

In his free time, Kipp enjoys roller coasters and working out. He also loves chocolate chip cookies.
