Biography

Juliana Goodman was born and raised in Blue Island, Illinois. She earned a BA in English literature at Western Illinois University and an MFA in fiction at Purdue University. She’s had work published in BLACKBERRY: a magazine and FIYAH Literary Magazine. Juliana was a literary arts fellow with the Tulsa Artist Fellowship from 2019 to 2022. Her debut young adult novel, The Black Girls Left Standing, was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and a 2023 Edgar Award nominee.
