Biography

Heath Calvin Patten is the curator of visual resources for the Oberlin College Libraries. He assumed the role of curator in 2017; he was assistant curator of visual resources from 2002 to 2016.

Patten's other roles for the libraries are the program coordinator of traveling exhibits and exhibitions, the supervisor of the Digital Imaging Lab (DigiLab), and the libraries' art director and consultant on visual literacy. He is one of the editors for Library Perspectives and the liaison for the Department of Classics.

He holds B.A. degrees in history, anthropology, and art history from The Ohio State University. Patten’s graduate work at The Ohio State University produced a Master's in anthropology and doctoral work in art history.
