The Division of Finance and Administration oversees the financial and business administration of the college, including budgeting, resource allocation, short- and long-term financial planning, accounting and financial reporting, endowment and investment management, and human resources. This office also oversees the offices of the physical plant, facilities planning and construction, environmental health and safety, procurement and auxiliary business services, and the Center for Information Technology.

Affiliated Offices

Office of Finance

This office conducts comprehensive budget planning and management. It collaborates with the CFO for strategic financial oversight and oversees the Controller's Office on fiscal operations. Additionally, it manages Student Accounts for optimal financial stewardship.

Department of Human Resources

The Department of Human Resources (HR) manages recruitment, benefits, payroll, personnel records, performance appraisals, employee development, diversity efforts, labor relations, student employment, and retirement. HR aims to foster a respectful and inclusive culture while serving as a consultant and advisor on various human resources issues and facilitating employee communication and development. The department is led by the chief human resources officer.

Investment Office

In collaboration with the Investment Committee and Board of Trustees, this office manages the endowment essential for scholarships, professorships, research, and maintenance. Funded by donations and market growth, the endowment supports the institution's financial stability. It also reflects the college's commitment to sustainability.

Facilities Department

The Facilities team at Oberlin College includes Facilities Operations, Facility Planning and Construction, and the Office of Energy and Sustainability. They are committed to ensuring a safe, sustainable campus environment. Specialized offices manage energy sustainability, routine maintenance, construction projects, and essential services like landscaping to maintain a vibrant, conducive space for learning and engagement.

Center for Information Technology

Provides comprehensive IT services, focusing on maintaining robust IT infrastructure, integrating technology in teaching and learning, and offering enterprise-level applications for streamlined administration. Prioritizing information security and efficiency, our team manages complex IT projects and delivers reliable IT support to the college community.
