Biography
As a second-year doctoral student in Cleveland State University's counseling psychology program, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my background as a former psychotherapist in Iran. My experience spans treating anxiety, depression, and sexual dysfunction, complemented by my certification as a mindful yoga instructor. This diverse background allows me to integrate mindfulness and self-compassion into my therapeutic approach.
My clinical orientation is grounded in relational psychodynamic theories, focusing on adult individual and group therapy. I am particularly passionate about exploring psychodynamic approaches, group therapy dynamics, mindfulness-based practices, and drama therapy. Central to my practice is the belief in the transformative power of an authentic therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a secure, empathic environment where clients can engage in open dialogue, freely express their experiences, and naturally progress towards healing and personal growth.
