Sarah Fishman, Moores Professor at the University of Houston, presents “The Spiritual Journey of a Mid-Century French Icon, Marcelle Auclair.”

In the postwar decades, French author and journalist Marcelle Auclair engaged in dialogue with her readers at Marie-Claire, a women’s monthly with a circulation at the time of some 1 million readers. Auclair’s life opens a window to alternate forms of spirituality in the early 20th Century.
