On the November ballot, Ohio voters will be asked to weigh in on one of the state’s most hotly debated issues — gerrymandering. If approved, Issue 1 would create a 15-person, citizen-led commission to redraw Ohio’s district maps, something supporters say would create fairer maps. Critics say it would lead to less accountability.
Join us for the next “Sound of Ideas Community Tour” where host Jenny Hamel will convene a panel to discuss Ohio’s Issue 1, with an advocate, opponent, and other experts, including Assistant Professor of Politics Ali Masood. The event will be held at 6 p.m at the Dye Lecture Hall on the campus of Oberlin College and Conservatory. It will be recorded in front of a live audience and will broadcast on Thursday, October 31 at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on WKSU 89.7.
