Lecture-demonstration about kora, djembe, Mandinka culture, and West African folkloric culture and the performing arts practices with Seckou Keita, faculty members Weedie Braimah, Talise Campbell, Thomas Presto and moderated by Caroline Jackson Smith.

This event will take place in the Cat in the Cream Coffeehouse and is free admission, no tickets required.

This event is part of two series: the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Omar which will be performed as a special concert performance in Finney Chapel on Friday, December 6, 2024 and the Artist Recital Series concert featuring Seckou Keita on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
