Faculty members Meredith Gadsby, Charles Peterson, and Caroline Wood Newhall discuss historical and literary context for Omar—the narratives of enslaved individuals including a comparison of autobiographical vs. biographical accounts and the specific narratives of enslaved Muslims.

This event will take place in the Science Center, Nancy Schrom Dye Lecture Hall and is free admission, no tickets required.
