Evan Hines ’16
Evan Hines maintains an active career as a pianist and collaborator, his most recent project was the recording of a collaborative CD with contributions from Oberlin faculty, students, and Carmen Twillie Ambar. Hines is currently an Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano at Oberlin College.
Lynnesha Crump ’13
Renowned soprano Lynnesha Crump captivates audiences with her powerful performances. A Grammy Award winner, she has graced prestigious stages, including the Metropolitan Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago, and excels in both operatic and concert works.
Tyreek McDole ’23
With a string of prestigious awards to his name, Tyreek McDole stands out as a rising star in the music world. He has been recently declared the 1st place winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, noted as one of the most anticipated events in jazz.
Daniella Hope ’18
Daniella Hope is a multifaceted healer channeling various mediums; especially music and poetry, to encourage listeners to feel, acknowledge and accept the complexities of being. Hope, who currently portrays “Rage of the World” in FORCE!: an opera written in three parts, is looking forward to the national tour of the opera as well as releasing original music as she further explores her capacity to express joy and vulnerability.

Combining her church roots with influences of Jazz, R&B, and Neo-Soul, MissChelle Renée’s captivating voice and genre-blending artistry have made her a standout in contemporary music. MissChelle Renée remains dedicated to inspiring audiences with her message of love, light, and life.
Theo Croker ’07
Renowned for his entrancing trumpet melodies and innovative musical approach, Theo Croker emerges as a standout figure in the contemporary music scene. Showcasing his versatility across jazz, hip hop, pop, and R&B, Theo Croker continues to transcend genres, leaving an indelible mark on the evolving landscape of music with each resonant note.
Jordan McBride ’16
Jordan McBride picked up the bass at age 12 and began to develop a sound influenced by the Philadelphia Jazz scene. Jordan studied classical music earning a position in the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and studied jazz band performance and bass at Philadelphia’s prestigious Settlement Music School.
Sunny Tabler ’15
Drummer and Cleveland native Sunceray "Sunny" Tabler began playing at a young age. Sunny calls her style “Trap Jazz” and performs often alongside fellow jazz musicians at festivals and venues around the area. Her love of music is evident in her style of playing and her communication with other artists during performances.
