The Last Soviet Artist: Talk by Victoria Lomasko

The exiled Russian artist and writer, Victoria Lomasko, will speak about her new collection of graphic reportages. The Last Soviet Artist documents her travels to Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia and the North Caucasus, depicts the drama of the Belarusian revolution, the final major protests in Russia, and reflects on the artist’s life in exile.

Victoria Lomasko’s practice of graphic reportage synthesizes image and text, taking the form of novels, journalism, comics, paintings and monumental murals.
