*Content warning
love songs contains content that some viewers may find difficult:
- The performance involves the insertion and removal of four piercing needles on the performer's face over the duration of the performance. Audience members should expect this to result in the visibility of blood, particularly during the last 2-3 minutes of the performance.
- The performance’s sound design contains spoken text that includes graphic descriptions of “DIY” tooth extraction, as well as implications of emotional abuse and sexualized violence.
Audience members will be given clear direction and ample time to exit the theater before the piece begins, and are encouraged to do so, if you feel it is in your best interest.
The piece is around 9 minutes in duration, and is the final work of the concert.
The audience is encouraged to move freely during the performance of love songs: if you would like to exit the theater, please feel free at any time. If you would like to come closer, come closer. In order to maintain health and safety precautions, do not cross into or past the black tarp where the performer is stationed throughout the piece.
