Creative Writing Fiction Reading - Ghassan Abou-Zeineddine and Pallavi Wakharkar

Ghassan Zeineddine is the author of the linked story collection Dearborn (Tin House) and co-editor of the creative nonfiction anthology, Hadha Baladuna: Arab American Narratives of Boundary and Belonging (Wayne State University Press). His fiction has appeared in the Georgia Review, Prairie Schooner, Michigan Quarterly Review, TriQuarterly, The Arkansas International, Witness, Pleiades, Fiction International, The Common, Epiphany,  FOLIO, Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts, and the Iron Horse Literary Review, among other places. He’s previously taught at the American University of Beirut, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Kenyon College, and University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Pallavi Wakharkar is a writer from Phoenix. Her short fiction has been published in The Southern Review, swamp pink, The Iowa Review, Joyland Magazine, and elsewhere. In 2021, she received The Iowa Review Award in fiction for her short story “Simple Animal.” She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from Vanderbilt University. Before coming to Oberlin, she taught at Colgate University, where she was the Olive B. O’Connor Fellow in Fiction.
