Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) Commissioner Mark Adams has led the charge in ensuring safe and sanitary housing for all during his entire public health career, most particularly in the relationship between chronic disease and poor housing.  Join Mark as he talks about Lorain County's community health assessment, the indicators of poor health throughout the County, and how this is tied to housing.  He will also demonstrate how Lorain County Public Health retooled their practices and incorporated a crackdown and cleanup program aimed at fixing the county's "broken windows" .

Additionally, LCPH regularly hosts Oberlin College students with an interest in public health initiatives for Winter Term and Summer projects. Mark will have an open forum after his talk to share some of these past projects and explain how interested students can get involved.
