Biography

Emily joined the Oberlin College Archives as the associate archivist in 2023. Previously, she has worked for the Winterthur Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Ohio History Connection. At the Ohio History Connection, she led historic projects such as the Warren G. Harding Home restoration (2021), processed the Harding Memorial Association Papers, and conducted background research into the state's historic sites, including the Harriet Beecher Stowe House. Most recently, she coordinated historic research and records for an architectural firm in Cleveland.

At Oberlin, she processes and describes collections, works with the digital records, and enjoys using her background in material culture to improve access to the object collection. She likes helping to solve historic mysteries and connecting people to Oberlin's history through outreach and instructional sessions.
