Jonathan Lucke

Jonathan (he/him) is a fourth-year Double Degree student from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is studying Biology in the College with a minor in Environmental Studies, and Percussion in the Conservatory with an integrative concentration in PACE (pedagogy, advancement, and community engagement). 

Outside of the Admissions Office, Jonathan is also the faculty liaison and co-chair of the Biology Majors Committee. He works with Conservatory Audio Services as a recording engineer and as an assistant for the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra (NOYO). He teaches secondary lessons in percussion to non-majors. Jonathan is the conservatory liaison to SOSHA (Survivors of Sexual Harm & Allies). Additionally, he’s a member of the Multiracial Students Association and Japanese Student Association.

Jonathan’s performance credits include engagements at Carnegie Hall with both the Interlochen Arts Academy and Oberlin Orchestra, the Re(new)al Concerto for percussion quartet at Interlochen, The National Honor Orchestra of America, and a performance with the Nashville Symphony. For a career, he aspires to create a more diverse, inclusive, and accessible community in both music and science.
