August 2, 2022 11:45 AM
Center for Information Technology
On Monday (August 8) at 1:30 p.m. EST, CIT will begin maintenance on its Door Services Router (DSR) servers. This critical maintenance will address lingering access issues related to the Transact Campus System upgrade in early April. The maintenance will last approximately 6 hours.
Swipe access to all doors with card readers, with the exception of the last bullet point in the following section, will operate normally, with the access plans and schedules that were in place as of 9:00 am on August 8. All services are expected to be back online by Monday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
Do not enroll in the Mobile ObieID Card during this period. Enrolling in Mobile ObieID during this maintenance will result in your inability to swipe in to any doors during the entirety of the 6-hour maintenance window.
During the maintenance period, the following services will be unavailable:
- All OCID card printing and reactivation
- Obie Dollars purchases at all locations, including copy machines
- Term Bill Charge sales at all locations
- Credit Card sales at Dining locations
- Obie Dollars deposits on the ID Card website
- Viewing balances and transactions on the ID Card website
Interior locks in the following buildings may deny cards for up to 1 hour sometime on August 8. Contact Campus Safety for emergency access if needed. The buildings are: Bibbins, Philips/Shanks, Knowlton Alumni Club, Hall Annex, Nord Annex, King Computer Science, Apollo Theater, Admissions Office, Wilder MRC/International Student Resource Center, Central Heating Plant, Service Building Paint Shop
Anyone with issues entering a door during the maintenance window will need to obtain access via a physical key by contacting Campus Safety.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this critical maintenance before the start of the fall semester. If you have questions or concerns, please open a ticket using the CIT Tech Support Portal.
