Introducing Campus Bulletins

We have created a new campus bulletin feature in the Drupal content management system to replace the bulletins from the old OnCampus website.
Campus bulletins are intended for brief announcements that need wide distribution. They can be published to any (or all) of the Current Students, Faculty & Staff, and Parents audience pages. In addition, campus bulletins can be displayed on the originating office’s landing page.
Who can post campus bulletins?
Any trained Drupal user can request access from the webteam. If you have not yet been trained in Drupal, we’ll be happy to get you started. In either case, just let us know.
What’s the difference between campus bulletins and the Campus Digest?
Bulletins and the Campus Digest are independent of each other, but they can be used in a complementary way. For example, a brief announcement in the Campus Digest email could provide a link to a bulletin webpage for further details.
What policies and restrictions apply?
Most importantly, just remember that although a bulletin may be intended for an internal audience, it will be visible to the world. So it’s always a good idea to check your spelling. A few more guidelines:
- Keep titles brief – there will be plenty of room for details in the main body.
- Avoid using ALL CAPS.
- Please include contact information in case people have questions.
