Excerpts + thoughts about my senior recital

So that's what I did for all of reading period, in between taking naps on the couch or the ground and briefly going to Stevenson or DeCafe to procure food.

My excuse for not blogging regularly: I have been HELLA busy. What I've been up to, things my friends have introduced me to, and pictures of me fishing for college students with candy in the library.

Just so you have a little taste of what we're all going through.

If you applied Early Decision for the class of 2015, here's a small distraction from the long, painful wait by the mailbox! And if you're working frenetically on your Regular Decision essays, hopefully this will serve as inspiration ... or maybe a model of what not to do ...

During finals, study breaks are most necessary. Sometimes they're planned, sometimes they're surprises, but they're always welcome.

There's nothing like listening to "Just Dance" on repeat to get up the energy to pump out the last few pages of a paper.

I come to a brief interlude in my studying frenzy to wish you all the best of luck on finals and winter term exploits. Study well, eat well, sleep well, and be merry. Or try.

It's a little-reported fact, but organic chemistry in general is actually composed mainly of working up your product. Doing the actual reactions takes very little time. It's all in the purification.

I am beginning to think of Oberlin as a secret society, or a religion, some bizarre underground cult. Once you discover that it exists, you can't go anywhere without running into fellow initiates.
