Biography

Awilda Dower is the Executive Assistant and Office Coordinator for the Career Exploration and Development Office at Oberlin College. In her role, Awilda provides comprehensive administrative support, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and facilitating communication between departments. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, handling tasks such as organizing student appointments, maintaining office records, and assisting with departmental projects.

Before joining Oberlin College, Awilda spent over 20 years in management within the banking sector, where she was recognized for her achievements and for providing excellent customer service. Her extensive experience in management and her commitment to high-quality service have equipped her with valuable skills that she brings to her current role.

Outside of work, Awilda loves spending time with her family and cherishes making lasting memories. She enjoys traveling, particularly to destinations near the water, as well as photography, reading, and amusement parks. An avid Broadway fan, Awilda also has a deep passion for all things Disney and hopes to one day visit all six Disney parks around the world.
